Here are a few things that you must ensure to ace your CBSE French Board examination:

  1. Attempt that many questions only as much as you are asked to! This means that one should not under-attempt, write anything relevant or just give a try to the questions about which you do not have any clue as something is better than nothing, right? Also, do not over-attempt as that just takes additional time and effort, and you are not going to get extra marks for that.

  2. Do not leave a blank page between your full attempt, start the new section from a fresh page. Keep your handwriting neat and easy to read. After all, it is a language exam, and presentation matters.

  3. Whichever question has the word récrivez, you would have to re-write the question along with the answers added to it.

  4. For subjective questions in sections A and D, please write in full sentences. Paraphrase the question and then write your answer whilst ensuring the presence of keywords demanded, and grammatically correct sentences.

  5. Take special care of accent marks and spellings throughout the 4 sections, most importantly in the grammar section.

  6. Exceeding the word limit by 10-20% in writing section questions is alright, no need to go beyond that. Nor you should write less than the demanded word limit.

  7. Time management is indispensable to any exam. Just leave the questions for the moment when you are getting stuck and return to them once you are done with the remaining questions. Try to save the last 20-30 minutes for verifying your answers.

  8. Number your answers correctly, following the numbering done in the question paper. Incorrect numbering can severely affect your marks.

  9. For letters and message writing, refrain from writing your own name.

  10. You will have full 3 hours to do your paper, utilise this time fully (attempting and verifying your answers).

  11. In the grammar section, if the question is in the form of fill-in-the-blanks, you may write just the answers. But you have to write the full sentence in questions like negation, pronoms personnels, etc.

  12. Following the prescribed format in the writing section questions in compulsory as format also carries marks.

  13. CBSE strictly prohibits to use whiteners or correction pens in the board examination. In case you wrote something wrong, just strike that word once neatly and rewrite that word again, no need to scribble.

  14. Don't mix and match between the 4 sections, first do one section entirely, then the other. (Try to do it preferably chronologically, making it easier for the examiner to check your paper!)

  15. Lastly do not stress at all! Have a sound sleep the night before your exam.

PS. Don't even dare to indulge in cheating or any fraudulent activity, CBSE takes strict actions if the student is found to do so. Just give your best in your exams, don't rely on such things.
